I really needed to read this today. Thank you . Im 10 days sober, just trying to trust in myself that yes, I can be this person I dream about...I can love myself and stop running.

Thank you for this, Samantha. I can relate. It's funny because when I was drinking everyday, I thought I was living the life I didn't want to escape from—what more could I want?! But the journey of sobriety quickly proved that wasn't the case at all. What a beautiful coming home to self, to be able to play, create, and truly connect again.

So much yes to this, Samantha. Similar to you, I found myself with a surprising abundance of extra time when I quit drinking. That felt acutely uncomfortable for a while…then I found all kinds of beautiful ways to fill it…now I’m like: What extra time? My life is so full! ❤️
